Our
Story

In 2022, our studio faced a serious issue related to adapting teenagers who immigrated to the USA with their families due to military conflicts and political persecution. These children were forced to leave their homes, schools, hobbies, friends, and relatives, finding themselves in a foreign country where they often feel devoid of a future. They are burdened by not only typical childhood issues but also adult challenges:

Lack of friends

New language

Different culture and way of life

Financial difficulties

Loss of the ability to pursue their passions

New environment

Fear and uncertainty about the future

Depression

Support from adults plays a crucial role during this transitional age. Without it, a child may struggle with these difficulties and face serious problems such as aggression, antisocial behavior, and depression.

Since 2022, our studio has been providing free spots and discounts for these children so they can continue pursuing their favorite activities such as arts, dance, music, vocal training, and acting. To raise funds, our studio leaders and educators organize charity events where donations are collected for musical instruments and necessary equipment for their education.

One boy from Kazakhstan shared how much he misses his cello, which his parents couldn't afford to bring due to high costs. Upon arriving in America, he lost his sense of self as he had to give up his beloved pursuit that had been a major part of his life.

For such children, we gather funds and help them stand strong in their new country. However, as the number of refugees grows, we cannot manage alone, and we urgently need financial support to continue this program and implement our new major project "Children for Peace!" that we would like to tell you about.
